History
2010 will be the 1st year of The Black Squirrel.
This will be an excellent spring opportunity to play teams from the region and qualify for the prestigous Triple Crown World Series. The World Series is held in beautiful Steamboat Springs, CO and is a excellent family vacation spot.
The headline event will be the Black Squirrel Day. The black squirrel will be released from his pen and will let the Midwest know if it’s going to be a dry or wet final 4 weeks of spring. Groundhogs are good at predicting the end of winter; Black Squirrels are good at predicting spring rain. Come see if the black squirrel will declare a dry spring or if we can plan on rescheduling games. The Black Squirrel is the the city animal for Council Bluffs and we have many Black Squirrel events TBA.
This event will be Triple Crown's only series event in the region and provide a great mix of baseball and fun.
