This year you have the option to purchase the Colorado Classic tournament as well as the Sparkler. The Classic is a 5 game guarantee the weekend prior to the Sparkler played June 28-29. This option replaces our practice games.
Event Format: Minimum 6 games. Pool play to double elimination brackets based off of seeding. 14U-18U June 30-July 6, 10U & 12U July 2-July 5. Age Cutoff Date: 12/31/2007 Entry Deadline: 2/15/2008 (Event Could Sell Out Prior to Deadline!) Event Awards: 1st-4th place team and individual awards for each bracket. Championship Berths: Berths for the 2008 Triple Crown World Series to be held in Park City, Utah will be awarded to all teams that enter the Triple Crown Sparkler. This excludes all CA, CO, AZ, and UT teams because there are qualifying tournaments in your state. Equipment Required: Teams are required to provide one new and one used ball per game. Worth will be the official ball sponsor of the Sparkler tournament. This ball will be available for purchase at a discounted price to all teams in the Sparkler. History
2008 will start the 6th year of the Triple Crown Sparkler tournament. In 2007, 430 teams participated in 14U, 16U, and 18U. Once again we held the Showcase All-Star games each evening with over 1600 girls participating. All-Americans were then selected and showcased Friday evening including our TV game with the "best of the best" that aired all across the country. 2007 also saw the first year of our Sparkler Opening Ceremonies Concert featuring the All-America Rejects with our Sparkler Idols opening for the band. Teams in attendance were displayed prior to the concert and had the time of their lives.
