The Triple Crown Spring National Finals drew 128 teams from all over the country in 2006. The year 2007 marks the 8th year that Triple Crown will provide this championship opportunity. The tournament is receiving a great deal of early interest and there is a chance that the tournament could sell out.The atmosphere in Las Vegas is an exciting one for those competitive slowpitch teams that are looking to "kick-off" their season in a destination, resort city coupled with a great softball experience. Play will start at 9 am on 3/2/07 at very well-kept facilities, with the thrill of Las Vegas nightlife waiting for you. We are predicting a sell-out this year for this event, so get your entries in early.
NOTE CHANGES FOR THIS YEAR'S EVENT: -This year we will run 2 separate Mixed divisions. A Mixed "upper" and a Mixed "lower". The Mixed lower division will consist of teams that have men that play D or lower. You will not be allowed to have any men on your team that have played C or above within the last year. The Mixed upper division will consist of teams that have even just one man that plays C or above, but the men cannot be A or above, or, if your team has 3 or more women's upper players on it, you must play Mixed upper, regardless of the classification of your men.
ROSTER PROCEDURES: The roster deadline is Monday, February 26th at 5pm, MST, including Roster additions (no exceptions!). Your roster must be entered on our online system by this time, Triple Crown will then print out your roster from our system (that you have entered) and bring this roster to the event. All of your players will sign the roster as they check-in to the tournament with their picture ID and get wristbanded as a legally rostered player. Wristbands must stay on for the duration of the tournament. Players MAY NOT be added to rosters at the event! We will check your team in to the tournament with the roster that you enter on-line! Please make sure that the roster that you submit, is a true roster for the classification that your team has entered for this event. Triple Crown and USSSA will work hard to check rosters and check classifications so that "sandbagging" will not occur in this tournament. Triple Crown reserves the right to remove your team from the tournament (without refund) if it is deemed that you have entered a team in the wrong classification. Triple Crown reserves the right to remove players from a team that are playing in the wrong classification. Keep this in mind when building your roster for this event. EVEN IF YOUR TEAM PLAYED TRIPLE CROWN IN 2006, AND YOU HAVE A ROSTER ON FILE WITH TRIPLE CROWN, YOU MUST GO INTO OUR SYSTEM AND UPDATE YOUR ROSTER FOR THIS EVENT. OR, IF YOU HAVE ONLY COMPLETED A "PAPER" ROSTER AT A TRIPLE CROWN TOURNAMENT AND HAVE NEVER BUILT A ROSTER ON-LINE VIA THE TRIPLE CROWN WEB SITE, YOU MUST GO IN AND BUILD YOUR ROSTER ON-LINE AND YOU MUST DO SO BY MONDAY, FEBRUARY 26th, AT 5PM MST. Here are some steps to help build your roster if you've never built one on-line via our web site before: 1) Pull up the Triple Crown web site. 2) Select the tournament. 3) After arriving at the tournament page, go to the right hand corner and click on "Rosters". 4) If you have an account, enter your user name and password. It will take you right to your "edit roster" page where you can make changes and additions. 5) If you do not have an account set up, then click on "create one now" (it doesn't cost you anything). 6) Complete the information page and click on the "create account" button. 7) Mark "softball slow". 8) Mark the division of play and fill in team name and any comments, then click on "add team" button. 9) At the "edit roster" page you will build your roster from scratch or add players to your roster by filling in the information for each player and then click on the "add player" button. YOU DO NOT NEED TO ENTER BIRTHDAYS! 10) Repeat this process until all members of your team have been added to your on-line roster.
