The top 2-4 teams, depending on the size of the bracket, will receive automatic berths to the 2007 Triple Crown World Series held in Park City, Utah. Teams that qualify in this event and then move up in age group, must play in a 2007 TCS event to establish their roster and validate their berth. Nov 29, 2006. Go to www.triplecrownsports.com, click tournament, click fastpitch, California, then GO. Then click on Winter Championship, then click on Game Times in the box on the right. Also click faciliites and you can do a MAP It to the fields.
History
In 2003, 70 teams participated in the Winter Championships and In 2004 & 2005, 60 teams participated. It's one of the larger Triple Crown event in California. The bracket--two pool and then double elimination and the increased time limit that's used for this event is different than most of the traditional qualifiers in California. Also the balls will be supplied for the tournament.
