FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Danielle Coleman, a local roster player for the Colorado Chill, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee at practice on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Coach Kelly Packard, Coleman was injured in practice while working on defensive drills.

"I'm very disappointed with the injury because no one wants to end a season this way," stated Coleman. "But I'm going to continue to be there for the team and help out in any way that I can."

The former Skyview High School prep star and Western State graduate saw action in three games for the Chill this season, averaging 1.3 points and 0.7 rebounds per contest.

"This is a tough thing for any team to handle," said Colorado Chill owner David King. "Danielle is very valuable to our team and she has dedicated a lot of time this season to get better, not only on an individual level, but on a team level as well."

Colorado will be in action on Friday night in Lubbock and then again on Sunday in Dallas. The Chill will conclude the three-game road stretch on March 11 in Birmingham, before returning home for three games, beginning with the Chicago Blaze on Sunday, March 13.
