Chicago – Colorado outlasted Chicago in double-overtime to come away with a 111-106 win. Katie Cronin led all scorers with 30 points while Becky Hammon and Ruth Riley added 27 and 24, respectively.
Colorado built an 81-76 lead with just over a minute to go. Blaze guard Keisha Anderson, who finished with a team-high 26 points, scored on a 15-foot jump shot before connecting on a three-point basket to tie the score at 81 at the end of regulation.
Hammon gave the Chill a 93-90 after connecting on two free throws with just 10 seconds remaining in the first overtime session. Tamika Catchings nailed a three-point shot at the buzzer to send the game to double overtime. Colorado outscored Chicago 18-13 in the second overtime to come away with the 111-106 win.
Cronin´s 30 points came on 10-of-17 shooting, including 8-of-10 from behind the arc. Hammon dished out a game-high 10 assists, to go along with her 27 points, while Riley also recorded a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds.
In addition to her 26 points, Anderson also added nine assists and two steals. Forward Latonya Johnson scored 25 points and had four rebounds while Catchings notched her second double-double of the season with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Center Ebony Hoffman came off the bench to contribute 12 points and 10 rebounds.
