Colorado Makes Additional Roster Decisions
Chill Sign Rouillard to Contracted Position, Fagan to Local

Wednesday, January 12, 2005
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado Chill and owner David King, announced this afternoon that they have signed Nikki Rouillard to a contracted roster position, replacing her on the local roster with Kate Fagan.

Both players entered the 2005 season as members of the Chill training camp roster, but after earlier moves this week, the team felt it necessary to make the moves.

Rouillard, who played in both preseason games for the Chill averaging 2.0 points per game, will get a majority of the back-up minutes behind all-star guard Becky Hammon. Rouillard and Hammon may also share time on the court when Hammon slides over to the shooting guard.

Fagan, a player whom the Chill signed late last week, also played in both exhibition wins. The former CU standout failed to score, but she average 2.0 rebounds and one assist per contest in just 7.5 minutes on the court. Fagan may also make a few road trips during the season for the Chill, primarily when a contracted player is unavailable to attend.

“As a team, we felt this was the best move to help us be successful this season,” said King. “Both Nikki and Kate are extremely valuable to us at the guard position and we feel comfortable with this decision.”

Colorado will be in action on Saturday, January 15th when they host the Lubbock Hawks at the Budweiser Events Center beginning at 7:05 p.m. MST.
