Chill Finishes Exhibition Season at 2-0
Colorado Remains Perfect All-Time at BEC

LOVELAND, Colo. – New team, new year, same result at the Budweiser Events Center for the Colorado Chill as they beat the Chicago Blaze in the second game of a back-to-back by a final score of 72-60.

The Chill finished last season with a perfect 14-0 record at home, and began the 2005 season with an exhibition win over the Blaze, to improve their overall home record to 15-0.

Becky Hammon led all scorers on the night with 24 points. In the two exhibition games, Hammon averaged 21 points, 5.5 rebounds and seven assists.

The only other player to reach double-figures on the night for the Chill was Ruth Riley. Riley scored 13 points and pulled-down a game-high 11 rebounds en route to her first double-double of the season.

The Blaze put four players in double-figures on the night, led by the 15 points of forward Keila Beachem. For the second night in a row, Colorado was able to hold the shooting of Chicago down to the mid-30s.

Colorado will be back in action to open the regular season on Saturday, January 15th when the Lubbock Hawks invade the Budweiser Events Center. Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 7 p.m. MST.

The NWBL is a six-team league that features more than 25 active WNBA players. Other teams in the league include the Birmingham Power (Birmingham, Ala.); Dallas Fury (Dallas, Texas); Chicago Blaze (Naperville, Ill.); San Jose Spiders (San Jose, Calif.) and Lubbock Hawks (Lubbock, Texas).
